Wiley-Blackwell, the scientific, technical, medical and scholarly publishing business of John Wiley & Sons, Inc., today announced that it has been selected by the American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM) to publish their journal the Journal of Midwifery & Women’s Health.

Established in 1955 as the Bulletin of the American College of Nurse-Midwifery, the publication became the Journal of Nurse-Midwifery in 1973 and then was renamed the Journal of Midwifery & Women’s Health in 2000  to reflect the expanding scope of practice into primary health care for women. The journal is edited by Frances E. “We are honored and delighted to have the opportunity of partnering with the American College of Nurse-Midwives,” said Andrew Robinson, Managing Director of Wiley-Blackwell’s Health Sciences business. “We will continue and accelerate the strategic development of the Journal of Midwifery & Women’s Health, so that it increases its contribution to the College’s role as a leading resource for midwives and women’s health professionals.”

“ACNM is very enthusiastic about launching our new partnership with Wiley-Blackwell,” said ACNM President Melissa D. Avery, CNM, PhD, FACNM, FAAN. “Their history of quality professional publications combined with a data driven approach to strategic development is a perfect fit with our goals for the journal.”
