Downloading Adobe E-books

You can download an Adobe E-book immediately after reaching the Confirmation page, the final part of the purchase process. Click the link to the Download page and then click the link(s) to the file(s) you would like to download.

Or, if you would prefer to download your purchase later, you may do so in the My Account section. You can get there via the link in your e-mail receipt, or from any page on the site. Within this section, go to the Download Center. After logging in, you will have access to your downloads. To download a file, simply click on the filename.

A Wiley e-book filename is based on the title's ISBN. You may wish to make a note of the ISBN listed in your confirmation e-mail message so that you will be able to locate the file more easily.

Please remember that you must download a file onto the computer on which you plan to use it. Files are not transferable, so if you wish to have the file on another computer, you must download it again to that computer (for a total of up to 4 downloads). Also, you must download each file within 14 days of purchase.

After you download a file, the Adobe software will add the new title to your library, accessible when you run the program.

Downloading time depends on several factors: the speed of your Internet connection and the size of the file.

Adobe E-books System and Software Requirements

Adobe e-books are in a special format that must be viewed with a special file-reading program, Adobe Digital Editions, which can be downloaded for free at Adobe.com. You will need to install the software and activate it according to the instructions given in the application.

If you have been reading Adobe E-books with the Adobe Reader software, please note that the newest versions of Adobe Reader (starting with 8.0) no longer support e-books. To continue reading Adobe E-books, use version 7 or earlier, or use Adobe Digital Editions software. PLEASE NOTE: Adobe has released an optional update to the Digital Editions reader. If you are prompted by the Digital Editions software, we recommend that you update your ADE Reader to Version 1.7.1.
